There I was, 1300 miles away from home, visiting my wife's friends from college. I had met them a few times but was not as excited to see them as she was. As you do, sitting outside the conversation, I was perusing my phone for the latest headlines. I switched to my google filter and based on my search history a story about Crypto-currency had popped up. Biding my time, I happened upon a Crypto-news article about Dash and how it was making more headway than any other Crypto-currency of the time. Foolishly, I signed up for some online cloud mining service (I won't state the name, I don't recommend this avenue) to try and benefit from this explosion of capitalism. Experiencing buyers remorse, I still thought the argument for Crypto was quite compelling.
I continued my curiosity through more google searches and as my searches had provided I happened upon a crypto coin named Pascal Coin. This coin had a number of videos in which they provided(second hand informational) input about their infrastructure and belief in how a Crypto-currency should work and how it doesn't work. This, for some reason, made a lot of sense to me. Someone who had no experience in Crypto whatsoever began to understand the basic premises of efficiency and resources that made sense. I am academically schooled in geography and science which is a study of patterns and I understood the patterns of Crypto was inherently inefficient and overall bloated with wasted data that would sooner or later consume its own existence.
A big problem in Crypto is its footprint; It has to sustain, over time, its block chain and all transactions in, bulk, on every computer that interacts with the project. This didn't make any sense to me and resulted in a giant potato structure resembling Devils Tower. Regarding the redundancy involved in each computers records, it seemed like too much fat and not enough beef. Unfortunately this is the way that most crypto-currencies work, bloating the entire network in redundancy throughout the entire block-chain with useless irrelevant data that everyone knows and is outdated as far as the relevance is concerned. What is done is done and that is the way it is. The vision of Pascal is perpendicular to this ideology, why bank data that is already known, taking up valuable space just to make a record of it (Raspberry with saliva) this seems to be a redundancy of redundancies.
Pascal has a utility known as the "Safebox" which accumulates all of the data in the block-chain that has been snap-shotted, as it is, with everything where it is supposed to be referenced between a number of nodes to verify its authenticity and establishes a new point of reference which negates all necessity of the details previously determined by the blockchain and accepts them truth to foment into the new establishment of the next "Safebox". This of course solves two problems, one to establish the integrity of the block chain as well as establish a less intrusive footprint on the block-chain which is now free to enable more relevant information such as atomic swaps and interactive contracts which are much more important to the block-chain interactivity and its responsibility to its users rather than simply a transaction history.
In truth, as I see it, this project has more relevant concerns resolved within the crypto-currency environment that perpetuate throughout the industry to be established as the penultimate example of Crypto-currency implementation. You may disagree, but I implore you to do research on Pascal and make your own decision. I believe this is a coin that has merit, durability, tenacity, intrinsic value and the progressive insight to overcome any Crypto-currency evolutionary concerns. This of course has led me to become one of the top 25 miners on pool.pascalpool.org mining pascal coin. I had many ups and downs trying it figure it all out. I had no coding or mining experience before; But as convinced as I was about this coin and its vision as a Crypto-currency I was determined to perfect the configuration of my mining apps so I could become a part of this incredible, alternative, and as i believe, exceptional venture into crypto-currency.
