Introduction
I have written about my love for the fantasy football (=soccer) game Sorare several times already and I want to open up the game to more people who might not sign up otherwise.
Putting together a decent team in Sorare can be a bit pricey, which deters a lot of people who might otherwise enjoy the game just as much as I do.
To help out people like this who have not joined Sorare, yet, I have decided to give away a full team (goalkeeper + 4 outfield players) of limited Sorare cards to one lucky winner who signs up to Sorare via this link.
What is Sorare?
Sorare is a fantasy game of soccer, where players buy, sell, trade, and manage a virtual team with digital player cards. The game uses blockchain technology based on Ethereum and was developed in 2018 by Nicolas Julia and Adrien Montfort.
Players can build five-a-side football teams on Sorare and enter them into a range of tournaments to earn rewards in the form of additional player cards or money. The performance of each team is based on the real-life performance of the players on your squad.
Once you have signed up to Sorare, you get a first set of “common” (untradeable) cards based on your favorite professional team. These common cards can be used to learn how to play the game and, in theory, to win additional, tradeable player cards. In practice, it is highly unlikely with these common cards, because competition is pretty fierce.
To get more use out of Sorare, you need at least five “limited” cards (one goalkeeper + 4 outfield players) so you can participate in additional tournaments. As there are more relevant prices and less competition than in the tournament for “common” cards, winning a reward is a lot more likely here.
What can you win?
You can win a complete team of limited cards that allows you to participate in the All Star tournament you can see above.
While I cannot promise any start players here, I will try to put together a decent team of players that get regular playtime after the winter break.
In addition to this, after you have bought your first five cards from Sorare´s primary market (“new card auctions”), you will receive a free limited card from Sorare.
To purchase cards on Sorare, you first need to top up your account and the easiest way to do this is via credit card. Simply click the wallet symbol on the top right corner of the Sorare website and select the option “Ramp”.
