We all hear terms such as universal income, socialism, capitalism, and so on. How does this all fit into the future? Lets face it, technology will replace many jobs that people traditionally work at. We will continue to see the closure of physical stores and transition to virtual ones. Food production and processing will become all automated. (The number #1 job that will be eliminated soon will be line cooks). Every day we see things such as self checkouts, ordering kiosks, and industrial machinery taking the place of humans. Here are some thoughts:
1). We will gradually see the adoption of universal income. Right now, there is only a certain segment of the population that receives income without producing something currently. Disability, Social Security, and many other streams of income that are given to people either based on prior production (work) or because of social quality of life issues. This is not a slight to those who receive these, but just an example of how universal income will be introduced to the general population.
2). People will be "staked" to something that produces such as technology or automation. That principle is already in effect by "staking" non tax paying individuals with tax paying individuals to spread out the benefit of production or work. We pay taxes in order to fund programs to help others in our society. You can read my previous posts to get further insight if you are reading this for the first time. We also see "staking" being done through the crypto currency mining and process. You simply put your crypto as a stake in a mining pool to mine some particular crypto currency and receive benefits for doing so. In the future, pools of people will be staked with pools of automated technology and receive income from the production of the technology. Thus, universal income will become a reality. Everyone whether they are able to work or not will be staked with technology that does. Technology will become the new taxpayers through production and the things they produce.
3). Cryptocurrency and the blockchain will make this process almost instantaneous allowing people to receive a steady source of income on a daily or even a minute by minute basis versus waiting for a check or deposit each month as we traditionally do now. Imagine receiving spendable crypto in your wallet as a steady stream throughout the day to spend on the things you need. Of course there will still be jobs and things to do for people, but the way we do them will drastically change and the way we society operates will look very different.
In short, crypto and the blockchain is much more than just something to invest in or learn about. It is the veins and arteries of our future economy. It is the new virtual highway in which many things will travel. Those who figure out how to create this future infrastructure will benefit beyond their wildest dreams while bettering the lifestyle of those that have no clue as to what is really going on.
