How many of you woke up this morning and said, "I think I will sell my Bitcoin and/or Crypto"? Probably not many of you, but it sure does appear that many had the same idea at the same time. This should let you know that there are much bigger forces involved in this arena than just a few kids sitting around their joystick buying and selling Crypto. Times like this should let you know that crypto is very vulnerable to many factors. In fact, if your exchange mysteriously shuts down, who are you going to call? The police? The SEC? Here are some thoughts:
1). Spread your risk/investments among different exchanges and coins. Of course, do not get to elaborate as you will forget some details that you may need especially like days like today.
2). Set goals and a basis of when to buy and get out....and stick to it. Setting structure amongst chaos is very important. When you see your crypto drop to your buy level, have the balls to buy it. Being a contrarian in some instances can make you rich.
3). Avoid excessive leverage. No one likes liquidation trades especially in the middle of the night when scalpers are running the price up and down forcing the little guy out. Ever notice that the price rebounds almost immediately after your liquidation takes place?
4). Do not let blabbermouths change your direction. Elon Musk is a blabbermouth and he enjoys it. He loves watching the screen and seeing things react to his words. It is called a god complex. The more it works, the more he will say. He will get addicted to being a god......in the days ahead. Be aware and take advantage.
5). Take profits once in awhile and enjoy yourself. Money is no good unless you use it and spend it. By experiencing what money can do for you will motivate you to do more and be better at it.
I would expect that prices have recovered somewhat by the time this is published......
Like Ben Aflec said in Boiler Room, "those who say money cannot buy happiness, never had any".
