Études-tableaux pour la guitarre: I. Galliarde excentrique [Philip Daniel; 2020]

By PhilipDaniel | Musica Melopoetica | 13 Apr 2020

First in my suite-in-progress of virtuoso études for guitar. An "eccentric galliard" that unfolds from a single motivic cell at the beginning into a wayward and animated dance with highly unusual extended harmonies. You may find the score here.

The painting in the video is "The Egyptians Admire Sarai's Beauty" by James Tissot.
