In the words of esteemed Bach scholar Bernard S. Greenberg ...

This magnificent oeuvre is so beautiful, skillful, and original that I don't feel competent to praise it sufficiently. This level of art deserves the attention of live concert audiences and critics. I hope the Internet hasn't obsoleted the same.
