Parvaz Homay, a different singer and songwriter of Iranian traditional music, started working on this wonderful and emotional song called “Reyhan” many years ago.
A song filled with human emotions, with no romance or other clichés, but the story of life and death, tragedy and nature.

Reyhan, is a little girl, trying to save her baby goat, falls into the roaring waters of the river The goat is rescued but Reyhan drowns and the water takes her to the sea, and her body disappeared.

The family and the villagers went looking for her with no luck, and she turned into a myth, so the legend of the "girl of the sea" was born.

Reyhan's mother has been coming to the beach every day for 50 years. she asks the sea to bring her, believing her to be still alive.

Homay with his creative mind, as an artist being raised in a rural community of north of Iran himself, understand and feels very well how it is to be a village kid and the hardships and the difficult life.

He put himself between the ideology of the modern life and the innocence of the past & the poor, and managed to create a visionary story.
