Today I am going to tell you about one of the relatively young, popular singers in the general public eyes of Iran. Although he lives inside the country, he has managed to make trouble for himself and at the same time, gain fans by singing some controversial songs.

Parvaz Homay (his given birth name is Saieed Jafar-Zadeh), a famous and controversial Iranian composer, lyricist, vocalist, and performer is born in Gilan, Iran, and is specializing in Persian classical-style music. He is the founder and leader of the Mastan Ensemble.

I like Homay's voice. He has a very passionate voice, and at the same time, the way he expresses himself, and his critical view have been very attractive.

One of the first concerts I witnessed was "The Concert of Musa and shepherd ," which was performed in Los Angeles and was a hit.
Although the concert was not inside the country and the people inside gradually become familiar with it over the years by clips scattered on internet, I still enjoy watching videos of it.
In this concert, which shows the famous story of "Moses and shepherd ", Musa goes to Shaban (herder) to criticize his behavior regarding God and his disrespect to the lord and he wants to lead him to the so-called right path (righteousness).
But shepherd or Shaban (played by Homay) reveals to Moses the truth of life, the truth of God, and the truth of men.
Moses & the shepherd (with English subtitle)
