Finally, the year 1400 has arrived and Iranians around the world are celebrating Nowruz.
I shared the beautiful song "Nowruz" by Homayoun Shajarian here.
At first, I thought it would be easy to translate the lyrics, but after an hour of struggling with various words so that I could prepare a fairly acceptable translation for this passionate and engaging song, I realized how wrong I was!!!
Song: Nowruz
Singer: Homayoun
Lyrics:
Drunk & Lyricist Nowruz
Rang the doorbell
Suddenly the face of spring refreshed
Today is my day
Water is springing up
Wine poured into Sebo
Hafez's poetry showed the good omen

Good news! Eid has come
Good fortune has arrived
The fist of the earth has opened
Greenness appeared
The dearest grass has arrived
And the life-giving perfume of my darling

The songs got unlocked
Cheers and cheers all over!
The song of the spring swallow is here
Heaven has arrived

The flowering season of the earth dream came
Lovers' hearts became demandable again
Love and affection came to our houses
The passion of spring burst from the heart of the ruins
See the butterflies are crazy in love with the flowers again
Renewing oldness, it is the season of fondness
In the body and soul of spring, the spirit of the Lord appears

The lawn became the green throne of Jamshid (The glorious and prosperous kingdom of ancient Iran)
God bless Cyrus, The great (Powerful and fair ruler of ancient Iran)
Eid has come again!
It is the season of fondness, the opportunity to go crazy in love again
The spring has arrived
The season of abundance of lost fruit of beauty

Good news! Eid has come!
Happiness has arrived
The fist of the ground is open and
The greenness has emerged.

Sing the song of happiness
Sing loudly!
Add new enthusiasm to the tunes
Pass through Sarmak to Shahnaz’s curtain (Styles of Persian singings, meaning to sing louder and more passionate)
