Homayoun Shajarian has performed the famous song "Morgh Sahar" (“Dawn Bird”), which is one of the most famous songs of his father, Master of singing in Iran, in a collaboration with Abeer Nehme, a female Lebanese singer.

A very rare type of collaboration for Iranian (male) singers inside Iran. In fact, it is not possible for them to sing with female singers and they are not allowed to. One of the main reasons is that women are not allowed to sing inside Iran, But I think the fact that Homayoun is very famous and influential among the people and also he has recently lost his father, caused the government to turn a blind eye to his violation.
Also, Abeer Nehme is a Lebanese citizen and not an Iranian woman, so, technically, Homayoun hasn’t violated the law and found a loophole!
In any case, it is a very stupid law against Iranian women, and Iranian female singers are forced to either seek refuge abroad or work underground and illegally, and unfortunately, no one pays attention to this injustice against them.

As beautiful and infatuating as the masterpiece of Homayoun and Abeer Neema is, remotely and through the app zoom, working with dozens of musicians and international artists, I can not ignore the bitter truth that women in Iran still have to be under this stupid pressure… and the whole world ignores it and made it look like it is normal!
