Hello! I hope you are having a wonderful day full of blessings! Today I want to chare a very cool place to camp out. Murchison Farm has opened as a primitive campgound, as of last year. Our camping season runs from March 1st through October 31st. The farm consists of 265 acres of beautiful fields and woodland. We have goats and a donky for the children to pet and feed. We have 2 awesome ponds and a beautiful creek. There is good fishing in the ponds and the creek is a perfect place to escape the summer heat! The creeek is spring feed in several places with cool water and ancient hardwoods that provide excellent shade! You can wade the creek and emerse yourself in the deeper pools. The creek also provides exciting ultra-light fishing! Currently the fields are colored with wildflowers! We also have cold water springs that provide high quality drinking water and a place for children to explore and capture crawfish, minnows, and salamanders. We are currently placing swings under large hardwood limbs and plan various improvements as time goes by.
