A video of Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum, kneeling against a four-legged robot with a meow-like sound, has been viral online, sparking speculation about the future of the cryptocurrency.

Wendy O, one of the most influential people in the cryptocurrency world, wrote in a post:
The future of Ethereum is in the hands of this man... Meow.

Cork protocol co-founder Phil Fogel also released the video, citing butrin's impact on his investments and stressing that he remains optimistic about the future of Ethereum.

Scott Crypto Warrior, an anonymous crypto trader, shared the video with his followers and wrote:

While many users have pointed to their investment in Ethereum in response to the video, the cryptocurrency is at its lowest level in five years against bitcoin.
Ethereum has fallen nearly 55 percent since it reclaimed  4,000 in December 2024 and is now trading at 1,841, down 13.34 percent in the past month. Alex Becker, a cryptocurrency trader, believes that this price level is a great long-term buying opportunity.
