Introduction

For every little child who was privileged to be born in the 20th century, it wouldn't come as a surprise if each and everyone of them has something pleasant to say about a radio. I, personally wasn't fortunate enough to be born when this fascinating tech was really high in demand, but if I must confess, the little period I had listening to the radio could be considered the best moments of my life.
It is obvious that man's insatiable nature and his zeal to explore and exploit other technological advancements has threatened to drive this tech to sudden extinction in recent years. However, several measures which have been channeled at integrating this extinction-ridden tech into our modern ecosystem, has yielded positive response.

Over the years, major tech companies around the world have put in various efforts to ensure that even with the ever-present evolution rocking the tech industries, the radio will always be an accessible tool to everyone. Its inclusion as an application on most of our smartphones, and other mobile devices gives concrete evidence to this claim.
A Report released by Nielsen Audio in 2018 gave a more fascinating view of the big picture. The survey conducted in the major regions of the United States of America showed that radio reaches 93% of adults on a weekly basis. TV reaches 88% and smartphones reach 83%. On a monthly basis, the number of people the radio reaches was estimated to be around 243,381,000. Several millions more, when compared to 229,960,000 monthly users of live or DVR TV, 179,216,742 monthly users of social media sites and 105,122,040 monthly users of news websites.
It gets even better. Few weeks back while I was going through a review on Github, I stumbled upon a really fascinating DApp called Radiodroid and it immediately got my attention.

The rest of this publication critically analyses RadioDroid; an Android Radio streaming Application which is more like nothing we have ever seen before since the inception of the radio tech.
My Analysis will fully dissect it's features, a general overview of its applicable usage, coupled with challenges which I have been experiencing since I started using this fascinating app

It's been over two weeks since I started using the RadioDroid App, and I can proudly tell you that my experience throughout has been Ad-free. We all are aware of the discomfort these maliciously placed Ads do pose most times. Being Ad-free is one criterion I always check before I rate an App, and in this aspect, RadioDroid has my full 100% rating.

• Alarm and Recording Option

These duo features are really amazing and I will highly recommend for those users who are under the working-class category and have little time to attend to their device and tune to their favorite stations, maybe while driving or attending to a customer at work. The recording feature helps users in this same category to record their favorite programs when they are busy and listen to it anytime they are free.

• The "Favourite" Option

This awesome feature help users to keep tabs on their favorite radio stations. Every station in this category gets an easy pass to a provided menu which is easily accessible to the user.
To enable this feature, you just need to click on the Star Icon on your preferred radio station, as shown above.

Challenges Face While Using RadioDroid

                                         
RadioDroid, no doubt, is currently the best Radio Stream App I have ever used on my mobile device. It's been almost three weeks since I started using this App and my experience is nothing short of Amazing.
However, on the course of testing several features on the App, I have noticed several bugs which needs to be fixed. Below is a review of two of the bugs which I frequently bump into while using the App.

While navigating through several menus, I have constantly noticed that the App tends to crash and directs me back to my Main Menu page.
This problem is likely to be experienced while you are trying to Favorite your preferred radio station.
I will recommend that this bug should be fixed in the next update in order to enable users get the best experience.

• Inactive Share Button

Having the best Radio streaming experience and being unable to share the good news to close friends is really frustrating.
I have been having a tough time trying to share my experience via the app to various social media. I hope the share button would be made more active in the next update.

Final Thoughts

                                         
All my life, the radio has been my number one companion. While others spend time on various trending social media platforms , I would rather stick to my radio. Although many close friends find this pretty weird, I believe this has literally become my way of life.
Since I downloaded the RadioDroid App, my whole Radio Streaming experience has been spiced up and I'm obviously loving the vibe.
Rating this App 90% wouldnt be bad afterall.
