I know it's a bit late to review the episode, but what the hell. I just finished watching it and decided to write a post right away.
Just like last time I am going to talk about each chapter in the episode. What I like most about motoring series is the challenges, especially when they start from the very beginning of the episode. This time, the lads were off to Peru where awkwardly they were doing an "American trip", each one had 5000 pounds to buy a car online. Chris got a 1960 Dodge Dart, Freddie with out of nowhere VW bus and Paddy with a stunning orange Pontiac Firebird. As soon as they marched, the Pontiac fell into problems and it had to be cool downed then filled with Agua (water). After that, Chris and Freddie did an unnecessary drag race in which the Dart won comfortably. Here is the fun part, where Paddy tried to make a practice start and just as he went the wheels fell off in a hilarious way. And, just as I am writing it about it, I am laughing. Then, they came across a gathering for old American cars where Paddy took the opportunity and bought an Oldsmobile Cutlass. The second part of the episode was Harris reviewing the new Porsche Taycan which is an all-electric car that can be fully charged within 20 minutes if you have a 270Kw charger. Charging aside, the car is groundbreaking, it stepped up the game in the electric car field. I won't say anything more than that it was a nice and informative part of the episode. Now, back to Peru, having made quite the progress, they stopped by a peculiar sport in Peru which is "motokar cross". It's basically a moto cross attached to a cart. Two people are on board of it, one is the driver while the other helps the driver to achieve maximum speed through corners. I found it weird, but if I could try it, I would absolutely give it a shot. Back on the road, the three hosts were making steady progress along the mountains and they started to reach massive heights, the cars began to struggle as the oxygen level drops with each meter going up. Sadly, the Dodge Dart couldn't keep up, the clutch gave up, so Chris continued the journey with Paddy. In the VW bus, Flintoff was really struggling but with the secret weapon, he was able to make to the top with Paddy's Cutlass. The irony is that the winner was the VW bus (german), in Peru for an American car challenge. To sum it all up, it wasn't the best of episodes, but entertaining, you'll have laughs here and there. I really liked the simplicity of it. Rating: 7.5/10
