Hello everyone, I know it's been a while since I posted a review. Today, I review something unusual. It's the Lego Masters. Growing up I was the one in the family who always liked video games and tech stuff while my brother was more into building and constructing. So, even until now I still find it weird that I watched this series and not my brother. 
The first season consisted of ten episodes with ten teams joining this challenge for a chance to win a 100,000$. Yeah, you saw it right a hundred thousand. I was shocked, didn't see this number coming. Because in each competition show I've never seen more than thirty thousand. Moving on, each team came from a certain background and culture. A married couple, kids teacher with his muscly friend, two girls who love cosplay, even two old ladies and others as well. Kudos for this huge diversity. The host for this show is Will Arnet who was the voice of Batman in the Lego movies. To be honest, I didn't see him as the right candidate for this show. He is very irritating, cringy, says weird stuff and expects us to laugh. He tries to be funny, but not once I found him to be one. Thank god each episode they feature a celebrity, to change the climate a little bit from the stupidity of Will Arnet. Another thing worth mentioning is that this show is supposed to be a reality show but to me, it seemed as they were acting. On each dumb thing Will says, they were laughing and trust me he wasn't not even a tiny bit. I know I am pretty old to be watching this show, but I don't think even the kids would find him funny. 
What I liked most about this show is the builds that the teams came up with, and how they were able to overcome tough challenges. Sometimes I still can't believe how they do gigantic builds within 12 or 14 hours. I can barely do a Lego car and that might take me the whole day. The challenges were cool and epic. In one episode they had to do builds according to children's ideas. In another, they teamed up together for good vs evil battle. It was really interesting. What overshadows it is that the show is filled with cliches as if nobody will spot them from miles away. The most annoying and lucky team was Sam and Jessica, each time there is a challenge they say that they've done nothing of this kind before. What do they know then? They see other teams build magnificent characters and they be like we can never do something like that. I honestly don't know how they lasted this long. 
The finale featured three times with the challenge being to do whatever the teams want. All of them produced a hell of a build. It was epic and very close at the end. For me, it genuinely seemed a tough decision that the judges had to make. Both builds were equally magnificent and full of colors. Some might find that the other team should have won but again it was insanely close. 
All in all, it was an okay show to watch with challenges and builds being the most epic while the host was the silliest.
