Mortegard is a fantasy world and kingdom-building game built for the Polygon Network. Ruling over a connected empire of their owned castles, players can craft and stake development cards, generate, hoard and spend their resources, pledge their assistance to Story Events that shape the world, and more!
The Abandoned Fort is a Common-tier castle: Left somewhat intact after the tumult of The Great War, its battered walls sit nestled deep in an undeveloped forest. Its valuables looted and the land surrounding it still wild, the fort offers no base resource generation, unlike the higher tier castle options.
However, this fort does oversee and grant you the right to govern 18 tiles of developable space and house three courtiers, offering the same chance to turn it into a valuable asset in your empire.

If this is your only castle, you will need to jumpstart your resource generation by acquiring resources via our Uniswap LPs. Once you build and place your first developments your kingdom will begin to generate resources passively on its own. Just a few cents worth of resources is enough to build a starter kingdom that can grow and become self-sufficient.

Once you’ve bought and staked your Abandoned Fort, it will generate and accumulate resources passively which can then be harvested, with the click of a button, in our Kingdom Building Client. Trade your way up to a greater kingdom, or participate in Story Events to help develop the world of Mortegard, and be rewarded handsomely for your contributions.
