With the conclusion of the story driven attack on the dwarven front in retaliation for the murder of beloved The Bandit King, land has been freed up for rulers new and old to expand their kingdoms holdings in Mortegard

Mortegard is a decentralized fantasy world with an emphasis on empire building. Live and ready to play on polygon, players become rulers of a fully customizable kingdom, developing in game, on-chain land to their own purposes. Be it to be a market maker in the economy, shape the story though political dealings(in live Role play events) or fuel the engine of war.

At 0:00UTC on Thursday the 2nd of June, our next castle is set for release – the Ferric Earthwork.

Featuring a new, highly detailed biome, this castle is situated on the border of Arkenheart and thus features a dwarven theme. Designed by specialist dwarven engineers, this structure was designed to withdraw into the earth when under attack, though the operation of this mechanism has been lost to time.

Each of these castles will allow for 18 developments to be built and 3 courtiers to be added to help manage the surrounding lands. As the lands around this castle are developed, they will produce resources passively for their ruler, which are then able to be reinvested, sold or pledged to story events.

We’re also holding a contest on Discord with to opportunity to win a converted cabin card and a zoo, so you can start your kingdom. There are a series of riddles to solve with each correct answer granting a puzzle piece. These puzzle pieces put together form the final riddle, which when solved, grants you the reward. First come, first serve.
