This material is a follow-up to the Qlipoth: The Tree of Death course offered by Marcelo del Debbio plus some personal insights from the author and presents an introduction to the study of the Qliphotic Kabbalah's death tree. This study can bring fear to those who are only used to the light side of Kabbalah and illusions to those who are not used to Kabbalah at all. However, it provides important concepts both for those who want to avoid mistakes along the way and for those who want to protect themselves from the malice of others.

Top-down Read The Tree of Death is a manual on how oppression is created and maintained, Bottom-Up Read however can be seen as an escape route. A map capable of denouncing the mechanisms used to enslave us. This summary will bring the second option with the names and characteristics of each Qlipha, as well as the tunnels that connect them. A little meditative questioning is also included in each qlipha about the obstacles that the tree of death poses. A fictional reference from the literature or cinema of a dystopia will also be provided.

However, the best way to understand the tree of death is to compare each of its elements with its counterpart in the tree of life. It is always a corrupted, prostituted, and degenerate version of its counterpart. For this reason, for each element studied, the sephira or path of which it is the shadow will always be mentioned. If these names are new to you, stop reading and study Kabbalah by way of light before continuing.

Key concepts:

•  Tree of death:  It is the opposite of the tree of life. Composed of qliphoth and tunnels. Some people treat the tree of death as the underground roots, the shadow or even the inverted reflection of the tree of life.
• Qlipha:  Qlipha (plural Qliphoth) is to the tree of death what a sephiras is to the tree of life. Each has its counterpart in one of the two trees. Qlipha literally means rind in the same sense as the rind of a fruit, which after being separated from its sweet and nutritious pulp and only serves to be thrown away to serve as fertilizer.
• Tunnels:  Tunnels connect two qliphoth in the tree of death in the same way paths connect two sephiroth in the tree of life. These are points where two forces influence each other, generating a specific result and which deceives and holds the light like a web.

X – Nahema (The whisperers)

Also called Lilith. This is the dungeon, the cellar of the tree of death. It is the concrete result in a realm of slavery, ignorance and servitude where instead of pursuing their true will people completely accept, serve and obey a system created to imprison them. It's a cage that's easy to see on the outside but harder to see on the inside. For this reason it is trivial to detect the ideologies, systems and religions that manipulate other people but it is very difficult to detect the systems that manipulate ourselves. The first attitude for anyone who wants freedom is to become aware of the lack of it.

IX - Gamaliel (The Obscenes)

Dystopian Fiction: The Hunger Games, the Island

Gamaliel is the land of illusions. While conscious imagination can be liberating, mere fantasy is a major obstacle to development. In Gamaliel are produced the aspirations and ideas that one day, somehow the true realization will come and justify all slavery, thus giving the oppressed the same benefits that the oppressors already have. This artificial mythology should preferably last a lifetime, which is why traditionally in religious systems justification only occurs after death. Meanwhile, in terms of politics, socialism convinces the masses that the party elite is a temporary evil is necessary and capitalism convinces the poor that one day, if they are lucky or work hard they can become rich.All of this makes prisoners be the first to defend their prisons and defend the very system that vampirizes them. On the personal scale, it is about laziness and self-delusion that consumes everything and produces nothing.

In order to sell Gamaliel's illusions to dominate Nahema's slaves, Thantifarax, the jailer of the Garden of Eden, is intolerance that guarantees the exclusivity of dreams. Individually it is the inability to imagine. In society, it is the consumption of only canned and authorized myths, rejecting any dream that leaves the norm as ridiculous, insane or perverse.

 

VIII – Samael (The poison of God)

Dystopic fiction: 1984

This qlipha is the nest of lying and intellectual dishonesty and self-delusion. Here, interests are more important than truth and language itself is manipulated to no longer express reality, but rather to favor our plans. In the individual, this shadow manifests itself whenever we pronounce untruths and distort facts for our own interest. On a larger scale, it gives birth to media control to serve political interests. For this reason, whoever has political power will always try to control media power. Furthermore, controlling which words and labels are used to describe a situation is itself an expression of power. Usually in a well-established oppressive system, freedom of expression is curtailed and all intellectual production needs approval.

Shadow of Judgment
The lies fabricated in Samael are perpetuated in Nahema's realm through prejudice. The culture of slavery and false ideas is disseminated here through the use of vicious images, symbols, jokes, stories, and language that support some essential lies.

30 (VIII-IX) Rafflifu (false idols)

To ensure that lies are integrated into society, idols are built that represent success within a particular system. These false idols are castes or heroes that represent the embodied dreams of slaves, showing that it is possible to get there. To be like them, the masses will imitate him and do whatever he says.

 

VII – A'arab'zarak (The scattering crows)

Dystopian Fiction: Brave New World

Here the scattering crows roar, whose main objective is to take our focus. In the personal sphere the influence of this qlipha is felt in the escapism of distractions used as an outlet for real problems. In the collective sphere these distractions reaffirm the illusions created in Gamaiel and the lies created in Samael when the authorities divert the attention of the masses by keeping them occupied and away from the important issues and real problems. It is Rome's famous Bread and Circus which has developed today to become the empty entertainment industry where burlesque and grotesque keep people from thinking.

On the other hand, when distraction crows speak directly to slaves, it is always in a context of restriction in order to generate institutionalized fear. While Tzuflifu says anything goes, Quliefi cries out that everything is forbidden. This makes the slaves confused, not knowing how to act, where to go and ready to obey.

 

28 (VII-IX) Tzuflifu (Wishes)

A'arab'zmak's distractions when conversing with Gamaliel's illusions create a space where the oppressed can finally give vent to their desires. On a personal scale here are general vices. By following an approved prescription all desires and passions can be satisfied. These desires are not only permissible but compulsory, and anyone who does not entertain them is an outlaw.

 

27 (VII-VIII) – Paraxitas (Hate to the different)

A'arab'zmak's distractions plus Samael's lies come together to form a mental shell of hatred for anything different. Thus, this tunnel is the origin of every culture of “us against them” and makes an efficient separation of human beings into opposing groups. If you identify a certain irrational hatred for a specific type of human being, you are probably already breathing the air in this tunnel.

 

VI – Thagirion (The Black Sun)

Key Concept: Selfishness

Dystopian Fiction: V for Revenge

Thagirion is the centralizing agent of the actions of all spheres seen above. It burns with the obsession to assert its desires above all other desires and burns to the extreme of not emitting any more light from above. This causes the star of will to gravitationally collapse into a large black hole in the center of the tree of death. On a personal scale it is authoritarian selfishness, in history it has been translated into the rise of ancient emperors and the great industrial dictators such as Stalin, Hitler and Mao.

25 (VI-IX) SakSakSalin (Status Quo)

The normalization of reality to meet Thagirion's designeos is what gives rise to the status quo. The idea here is that oppression is not just a mischief contrived configuration but rather the natural and original state of affairs. Any attempt at change is therefore unnatural and doomed to failure.

 

24 (VI-VII) Niantiel (Worship to Youth)

One of the ways to make your control right is to create in the slaves a youth cult in which any accumulation of wisdom or experience is seen as undesirable. The fashion industry, beauty standards are some of its physical effects on the community. But the cult of ignorance and infantilization are also more subtle signs of this tunnel.

Gloachab's strength expresses itself in Samael's world of lies through extreme regularization and the imposition of explicit rules and procedures. Here are born government taxes, useless rules capable of validating or invalidating rituals, and in particular the hierarchy of castes that place each person in his or her proper place.

 

22 (V-VI) Lafoursian (Injustice)

While Malkunofat's rules handcuff all intelligentsia, Lafousian establishes injustice through a policy of exception. On the one hand this means that some people will get special treatment while other people will face the full rigors of the law. The decision of who is who is up to whoever has the monopoly on violence.

 

IV – Gma'Asheklah (The disturbers)

Fiction: Elysium

The influence of this qlipha reveals itself when prosperity and wealth serve only itself. When that happens, commerce and industry no longer prospered by providing solutions, but by perpetuating problems. Here, the current chemical-pharmaceutical-food industries are born, where seeds can only be planted once to be purchased and long-term medicines receive more research than the cure for the diseases themselves. It is also the home of the financial industry where wealth no longer comes from work but from speculation and interest on interest. On a microcosmic scale the influence of this qlipha can be seen when money becomes an end in itself.

21 (IV-VIII) Kurgasiax (Pollution)

Shadow of the Wheel of Fortune

In order to sell and enrich more and more Gma'Asheklah produces all sorts of pollution in this tunnel. On one side of the tunnel sellers sell anything that makes a profit, on the other side the buyer buys anything that distracts. This means total neglect of the long-term consequences, the environment and other people.

 

20 (IV-VI) Yamalu (Bribery)

The power of the ego combined with the desire for wealth alone gives rise to the corrupt and the corrupter. Knowing this, Gma'Asheklah and Thagirion manipulate each other all the time, one to accumulate even more resources and the other to more easily enforce their plans

 

19 (IV-V) Tempioty (Dehumanization)

The accumulation of power as a goal and extreme violence as a method take us to the last threshold of the tree of death that can still be considered human. Here complete dehumanization takes place and there is no longer any barrier. The “Us against them” degenerates further and gives rise to the “I against all”.

 

III - Satariel (The Concealers)

Dystopian Fiction: Fahrenheit 451

Hiding resources, information and possibilities is what governs this qlipha. The idea is that people can't fight an enemy you don't even know exists, and they can't search for treasures you've never heard of. Hence the immediate impulse of every criminal to hide his own crime and of every human being to deny his own faults. Furthermore, the further up the hierarchy of a corporation, the more adverse it will be to transparency. There are video cameras pointing to every cashier's head, but no windows in the summit meeting rooms. The government denies having knowledge.

18 (III – V) – Characith (Censorship)

Violent concealment translates into censorship. That is, in the systematic use of a superior force to suppress ideas, resources and people. Burning books, controlling access, banning demonstrations and shutting people up are the first steps in this tunnel, the last of which is the execution of anyone who thinks or talks too much.

 

17 (III-VI) – Zanradiel (Defamation)

Defamation is another weapon used to hide opposition efforts. On a personal scale, this tunnel translates into gossip and envy, but humanity has not lacked historical examples of the systematic use of defamation as in McCarthyism and the Spanish Inquisition.

Dystopian Fiction: The X-Files

While Satariel is preoccupied with hiding reality through restriction and lack of access, Gkogiel does the same thing through a quagmire of useless rubbish, spewing out infinitely garbled versions of the truth. The idea here is that reason, if it cannot be completely eliminated, will then be hidden in a multitude of irrationality. The truth disappears like this amidst a sea of ​​lies. A government for example can create and unleash the most bizarre conspiracy theories to hide the true conspiracy making it impossible to tell right from wrong. The hinderers cause alienation by excess of information.

14 (II-III) Dagdagiel (Corruption)

Every perversion seen in the other shadows and that causes enslavement by flowing into Nahema can be traced back to this qlipha which essentially speaks of the essence of evil being caused by an act of will outside the system in an intention to destroy it. This is the only possible explanation for the existence of the art of death, as it exists in a constant situation of self-destruction with different systems of oppression competing with each other and destroying each other. According to the tradition of the Sephardic Kabbalah, for example, entities outside our solar system, unable to participate in the creation of our world, sowed their seeds of corruption in the human heart and these seeds in turn destroy the entire tree of life, from within to outside. These anti-cosmic beings are also portrayed in the myths of H.P Lovecraft that speaks of extraterrestrial gods completely out of our reality, without any human interest and capable of destroying everything that exists.

12 (I-III) Barachial (Sorcery)

Thaumiel's seeds of evil can more easily corrupt the system when a cooperating agent exists within it. The figure of the black magician as one who uses the sorcery of a superior dark power is easy to visualize and represents this tunnel well, but on other scales sorcery is present in any intentional and conscious act of evil. This agent understands that the tree of death cannot be kept for long and, determined to make the most of it before the final destruction, opts for evil.

 

11 (I-II) Amprodias (Suicide)

The third tunnel that connects Thaumiel is that of those people who, understanding that the tree of death is itself decaying and that it hides in its very structure the essence of its destruction, see no other solution than to destroy itself in anticipation of destruction of the whole. These people also opt for evil, but carry their hatred to the cosmos as the ultimate consequence, ending their own lives in an attempt to escape the system.

 

Final considerations

 

Although these explanations may imply that the Tree of Death only exists in large institutions, sects and organizations, we must consider that the dark aspect can be present in any manifestation. Even a relationship as a couple can be qliphotica. Furthermore, it is possible and quite common for us to sabotage ourselves and do so whenever we stray from the path of our true will.

The second analysis brings two generic approaches to facilitate the recognition of a Qliphotica nature in cults and political organizations.
