Rest your weary hearts with God. His work brings peace and joy.

There is an overwhelming panic that arises whenever I realize I am doing something wrong. Deep down, I know what I'm doing is wrong. I've never really agreed with the imagery of an angel and devil standing on my shoulders whispering their guidance into my ears.

And don't you find it interesting that the two portrayed are a servant of God, and the antithesis of God?

Psychopathic people apparently do not know the difference between right and wrong. Sociopaths do, but choose the wrong path purposefully. So where do we stand in all this?

What do you call someone who knows right from wrong, but can't help but do the wrong thing? Human.

I think when we choose us over God, the resulting outcomes often are only as good as us. When we consider the depth of this limitation, it's no wonder we never truly accomplish anything of meaning without God's help.

The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.

Nahum 1:7 NIV
