Lift your voices high and sing His praise! For everything good and right is because of Him!
Today begins an interesting concession for me in life. Homeschooling. We've set up the girls to do what they need to do for school. They've each got a small area that we can leave them in to complete work without distraction. We have created an environment where the girls can, hopefully, get the most out of this strange and new situation.
Funny how God does the exact same thing for us. I've been thinking about a concept for a while, and I call it: God's half. In our struggle for meaning an purpose in life, it's easy to start whittling things down to transactional behaviors. You did this, so I do that. Like we're little robots that have specific and automatic responses to stimulus. I only use the word "half" to make the concept more relatable.
See God has a plan for us, and he sets that plan in motion. And because we aren't slaves, he gave us the choice to turn our back on all of it. Think about that. He creates an environment for us to succeed. Gives us the tools and wisdom to do what we need to. The really unknown factor (though even this is shared with the prophets) is when. We are given every opportunity to recognize and submit to God. To His plan.
Will school be successful this year? Compared to what? Like an earthquake, the release of tension can be jarring and powerful, but how else will you witness the face of the earth changed instantly?
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 NIV
