The Cosmological Constant proves that the Universe is designed

The cosmological constant, also known as Einstein's cosmological constant, is fundamental for our universe. We don't fully know what it describes, if it is dark energy, or something else, but it is central for the shape of our universe. For life to be possible, it needs to be finely tuned. If it was slightly too big, the Universe would fly apart. If it was slightly too small, the Universe would collapse.

What does slightly mean, you might ask. About 1 part in 10^120!

That would be 1 to 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000.

It's a number that is beyond our grasp. In comparison, the current US national debt is about $35800000000000. In cents that would be 3580000000000000. In Iranian Rials, the least valuable national fiat currency in the world at the moment, that would be about 1500000000000000000. Still a tiny number in comparison. 1 bitcoin is at the moment worth 1350096115 lunc. When all 21 million bitcoins have been mined, if that relation stays intact, that would be worth about 28352018000000000000 lunc, that is ~ 2.8*10^19, for the entire bitcoin supply valued in a dead coin.

Somewhere, Elon is dropping a sink on his toes.

And that is only one of many finely tuned constants, that are required for life to be a possibility. For example, the gravitational force constant is fine tuned about 1 part to 10^34, or 1 to 10000000000000000000000000000000000. A lot less than the cosmological constant, but still a very, very big number. And if this constant wasn't tuned to this degree, planets that are conducive to life could not form.

Why are there galaxies? Why are there planets? Why is the Universe not just a chaotic cloud of particles? Did we get lucky? Or do we have planets because God wanted there to be planets? I think the numbers speak for themselves.

Yttrandefrihet is a Swedish word. It means freedom of expression, which is something I value.
