In my last post, we looked at how postmodernism falls apart logically. But philosophy eventually has to leave the classroom. When the postmodern view of truth hits hard reality, it shatters completely. 

To a strict postmodernist, scientific facts aren't discoveries of how nature works. Instead, they view science as just another "social construct". A story agreed upon by people in power.

The ultimate rebuttal to this is the undeniable success of modern engineering. If truth were nothing more than a social construct, then a Boeing 747 would only stay in the air because a group of engineers collectively agreed on a nice story about aerodynamics. But gravity, thermodynamics, and physics don't care about human agreements. A bridge stays standing whether the engineer is an ancient Roman, a Soviet communist, or a modern American. The laws of nature operate entirely independently of human language or perspective. Science works precisely because it forces us to align our beliefs with an objective reality. The moment you step onto an airplane or take a prescription medication, you bet your life on the fact that objective truth exists. You are trusting that the universe has strict, unbending rules. Postmodern thinking is a fun intellectual exercise until you need to build something that actually works. Out here in the real world, reality always wins.

Again, let's not use postmodern thinking when engaging with the world around us. It's a dead end. Don't do postmodernism.
