I've Been Stuck In A Floodzone During A Major Historical Flood!

It's been scary...
I have been through 3 previous floods in my life. All in the same house 🏠, there's been so much damage at this point being our 4th flood in 20 years.
My family's home has a leak in our roof, coming through the ceiling right next to my parents bed.... As the ceiling leak has begun to bulge a bit, water continues to stream & drip, I worry about our safety, especially worried for my parents!
Flood water has come up through the unfinished basement. We've been pumping it out since it started to flow & fill in. We didn't get there in time to put up all the stuff on the ground, a lot of our belongings have been damaged by the flood through the basement.
We've been let down by these insurance companies the previous 3 floods. My guess is when a whole town is accessing flood insurance at the same time.... they try to cut costs.
More damage has been done to our front & back porches. Are yard is soiled & soaked. Our garden destroyed!
In my home 🏡 we have pets, we have both indoor & outdoor animals as we have a mini farm in our back. I'm grateful all of our pets have made it through the worst of this 🙌!
As the water levels began to rise rapidly, as our waterfall was flooded with the most water it's seen since 1990, that surpassed all flood safety measures & wound up overflowing the Snoqualmie River.
I'm in the downtown historical district, right near the river, near a creek & small pond. My town has been hit HARD! So have neighboring cities, like fall city, Carnation, parts of Issaquah & more as this storm has sent Eastern through our state affecting other valleys & rivers.
My state of Washington has been my home since I was 6 years old. I've lived in the same house for 20 years! This is my home, this is my town, these are my neighbors, my friends, the small little local businesses I visit regularly since I was a young child....
I am utterly heartbroken 💔 & devastated by this catastrophic natural disaster. For my local residents, for my town, my home.
My family & I are safe, we've gotten through the worst of this now, the flood level has decreased, the river is beginning to reced. Though we have nothing but more rain 🌧 expected for at least this next week. I don't know how this could affected the flood even more or if the rain will be light enough that our towns very expensive efforts they put in for flood safety controls will be able to handle it to keep Snoqualmie Falls & our river from continuing to over flow.
This atmospheric wave we were hit by has harmed so many people family & properties. So much has been lost, by my own family & neighbors included.
Roads have been shut down and closed due to the height of the flooding water & numerous mudslides on our roads, including highways & freeways.
A gigantic THANK YOU to our friends & neighbors who came to check on us, give us information & help assist each other during this. And to our fire department, water rescue teams, police, evacuation shelters & other emergency services that have spent these past days saving people from the water, updating on the situation, keeping people & their pets safe!
Resources from the state declared national emergency are yet to come. We have to wait to hear from the county on how to proceed on receiving any resources from this natural disaster.
For the time being we sit & wait, push through the last of the flood & keep ourselves & our loved ones safe. There's the leak in our ceiling, that frightens me the most to have to wait on. The extent of the help that will be given is yet to be determined. My father is our houses soul provider as my Mom & I are both severely chronically ill & can't work. Yet he's been trapped here for days unable to get to work.
My family has already been struggling enough as is, as im seriously sick & my medical costs & medication costs have put my family in a terrible spot. With currently only my Dad's income, we're barely staying afloat already, with this it's too much on my family.
I've been trying not to let my parents know how worried I am, they have enough stress on their plates, they don't need my added anxiety at the moment.
