This year is my nephews first Christmas, he was up walking around when he discovered the gift I had hid for him beneath the tree. I'm still surprise he can walk at his age. He isn't even a year old yet. He's always so full of surprises 😮!
We weren't going to take it away, it was too late at that point haha 😆, he had discovered what he somehow simply knew was his.
I had a friend make my nephew a handmade crocheted dinosaur stuffed animal 🦖! It's so stinking adorable. He always makes these sounds that to us sound just like a RAWR! So a dinosaur was perfect for him.
I'm honored I got to give him his first Christmas present. Luckily it didn't seem to be a problem with anyone else. We all just found it funny how he magically found the one underneath the tree, hidden, that just happened to be for him.
I got to film it, enjoy it, be there with him during that moment and it made me so happy. He now has a Dino friend for life, all thanks to my friend who let me commission her for the gift 🎁 for my nephew.
I'm so happy he loved ❤️ it. Though the wrapping was also something he loved haha 😄.
Being able to be his Aunt is the greatest blessing that happened to me this year. 2025 has been an excruciatingly difficult year filled with extreme challenges, loss, problems. But I got to become an Aunt again to the world's most incredible little dude in our family!
Getting to spend time with him has made me so happy. Today was starting off a really hard day. I've been running a fever for days, I was depressed about the flood, not having been able to properly prepare for Christmas, not being able to give my family anything. It was seriously weighing on me.
My nephew is magical ✨️ though. He made everything brighter again for me, got me to smile, to laugh. Gave me a really good reason to enjoy the day, the holidays as a whole. Though I wasn't looking forward to them this year as things kept going south. But he's given me the reason to be present, to enjoy the moment.
Kids are to be treasured, they're magical. They bring so much joy and love ❤️ into our lives. They come with challenges, of course. Let's just say many moments of utter chaos occurred today lol. But at the end of the day, they're a true blessing to us. I'm grateful to have him, I'm grateful to be his aunt. Remember to cherish the kids in your life so they grow up being loved, treasured & to become strong, wise, caring & kind people.
