Scams in the crypto world
You will often find yourself reading or looking at an article about scams in crypto or how someone is promoting those scamed or personaly got scamed. If you are in the crypto world for a longer period of time maybe you got scamed to or got close to that. Now lets go and see some of these crypto scams.
Lets first get into the story of how I personaly got scamed (Allmost!)
The last couple of months i was doing research on how to make passiv and free crypto online,
because i wasn't able to invest any because most of the teens like me spend their money on dumb shit. So when I was doing my research, I found something called Cloud Crypto Mining.
It works like this: You pay them to mine crypto on someone elses computer, so you dont use your own internet or pc.
After couple of days I got to a website called HashList.com where when you login you get a "Free 8 Dollar Bonus", That was the exact amount you needed to buy the cheapest cloud mining machine and the return was .8 Cents. So I was like it was worth it lets try it. After couple of Months using it, I got to the minimal withdraw amount of 100 Dollar. But when I wanted to withdraw it, I got a pop-up that told me I need to Deposit 50 euro. So I was aight il deposit it tomorrow. So I wake up the next day wanting to Deposit but I can't find the website. After doing research I found out that the website was a fraud and that all the data from the website was given to Europol (European Police) by the website users. I got lucky and didn't waste my money, I only wasted my time but now I know to watch out.
Now let's get into some other scams.
Pump and Dump
Pump and Dump is one of the most common scams in the world of cypto traiding.
It works like this:
If you are a part of a Specific Discord Server or Telegram Channel where they tell you to buy some shity bullshit coin and the price goes up, and that you should hold that, but imidiatly after that, they manipulate the coin to crash so they make money,
The way to protect yourself from groups like these is to do research on them and to do your own research on those coins and never invest in the coins you don't understand !!!
Fake Giveaways
This is one of the most famous scams in every niech and everyone has heard about those scams. Even me personally felt for this type of scam couple of years ago.
But the most Crypto Giveaways that are fake are on youtube, you will allways see those Crypto Talk Live with famous people like Elon Mush Or Jeff Bezos. But in reality those are just edited and deepfake videos that are streaming live, and there is allways a link in the description where if you click on it you will get free bitcoin or ethereum but you need to register with your wallet.
And that is where most people make the mistake and register but just couple hours after that their wallet is cleaned of crypto.
How do you avoid this ?
Don't go to those videos and lives and do your research and if there is a giveaway you should check the person that posted it every time.
