Origin of the slogan
This is not one of the viral challenges of social networks, unfortunately when it comes to habits or healthy actions nothing is news. That is why it occurred to me to share with you the daily challenge that I started 4 days ago .
It all started with quite annoying pain in my lower back, which made me remember what the doctor told me when I had some routine tests done: that I had grit in my kidneys. Since nothing hurt back then - thank goodness - I didn't even take it into account and went on with my life, in which drinking water was something quite unusual.
The two-liter challenge
The two liters of water a day was in theory an amount that I could never drink, that not even a glass of water drank a day ! Now I wonder how I lived so many years without drinking water and I hope it is not too late to avoid future damage.
But once put into action, I will say that it is not difficult at all. My system consists of having a bottle with two liters of water on hand, and drinking a glass every hour if possible, because I will tell you that the earlier I finish drinking all my water allowance the calmer and I will sleep happily. You will understand the point ;)

Consequences of drinking little water
Specialists recommend a minimum of 1.5 to 2 liters of water a day to keep the kidneys in good working order. Of course this is not the magic solution if it is not accompanied by other good health habits such as eating a balanced diet and doing regular exercise, but it is undoubtedly an excellent start and above all easy and cheap to do.
The most common kidney conditions are from the mildest to the most serious:
- Grit in the kidneys
- Kidney stones
- Renal insufficiency
- Kidney cancer
Kidney transplant statistics in the world
Currently it is estimated that around 800,000 people in the world need a kidney transplant . Unfortunately, due to various factors, only a little more than 73,000 people receive the organ, less than a 10% that are needed.
Price of a kidney on the black market
This sounds far-fetched but reality is beyond fiction and the market for organs certainly exists although I'm not quite sure if the donor-sellers agreed. Suppose for our peace of mind that the owner of the organ receives the money, the price of a kidney hovers around $ 50,000.
Waiting list
Without doing much analysis, it is known that these are long and the position that one occupies in them does not guarantee that they will receive the organ according to that order, since it depends on the compatibility with the available organs.
Conclution
Having read the above, prevention is always the best option and it is definitely so easy to drink those two liters of water a day to help our body work properly , so I think that from now on I will continue to drink water as if it were beer! And you?
