Portuguese From Scratch - 1

I decided to learn Portuguese just for fun and to be able to speak an additional language. I do not speak any Portuguese and have only been to Portugal once. I am already multilingual. I can so understand a lot of spoken and written Portuguese but, have never studied the language before.

The first thing that I did was to start practicing Portuguese on Duolingo. If I have spare time I complete a lesson. 

I also decided to start practicing the most common 100 words on Clozemaster. 

I found a basic course on Spotify 3 Minute Portuguese and decided to work my way though that. 

As soon as I have a better understanding of the language I will start having private 1-1 lessons on preply and language exchange that has Portuguese lessons from €2 per hour.

I will be choosing a monolingual speaker of Portuguese as I do not want to fall back on other languages. I have found learning monolingualy to be the most effective way to learn a language. Although it does not suit everyone.

I do not have that much time to learn Portuguese but, intend to learn as much as possible before I visit Lisbon. I intend to only speak Portuguese when I visit sometime in January. I have booked my flight for the 30th January so have 42 days to learn conversational Portuguese.
