Getting A Passport By Military Service

To be able to get French citizenship through military service in France. You will need to serve for 3 years and have served honorably. But, if you are injured during service you will be able to apply immediately. It is known as Française par le sang versé. Basically you have spilled blood for France. You must have joined with your real name and not have any problems with the authrities. You do not need to be a French resident to join and joining is open to anyone regardless of nationality. But, they are quite strict and you will be required to pass a number of tests in order to join.

The USA also offer citizenship by military service but, in order to enlist in the US military you must already have a green card. You only need to serve for one year before applying for citizenship.
