How To Get  NIE Spain

DO NOT PAY ANYONE TO DEAL WITH IMMIGRATION IN SPAIN EVER

A NIE is a Spanish Tax Number for foreiners. If you intend to move to Spain, purchase a car or property you will need one. A lot of unscrupulous people charge extortionate amounts to get one for you. I have heard of people being charged over €500 which is disgraceful.

It is possible to get one before you move to Spain or after you arrive in Spain. 

How to get one before you move to Spain

Contact your nearest Spanish Consulate by email and request an appointment. Before they give you an appointment they will ask.why you want it. You need to State that you intend to purchase a property. Do not tell them that you need it to move to Spain. You then will need to attend an appointment and fill out à form and pay a small fee of around €10. Your NIE Certificate will then be emailed to you.

How to get a NIE if you are already in Spain

You will then need to select a province. Then click  accepter.

You Will see the following select your closest office then select the second box

You need to select:

POLICIA - Assignación DE NIE

Click entrar 

Fill in your details. Then click accepter it will offer you the next available appointments.

You will need:

Passport/ID Card

Photocopie of ID card/passport

Form modelo EX15
