Oradour-sur-Glane is a village in West Central France. It is 23 km from Limoges. The inhabitants were massacred by the SS Division Das Reich on the 10th June 1944 only 10 of the 652 inhabitants survived.

642 people were killed 245 women 207 children and 190 men. It was left as a memorial. Walking around Oradour-sur-Glane is amazing. Many of the graves have pictures of the innocent victims it's very sad.

The village is like a time capsule or something you would see in a film. I have been twice and each time it was just as interesting. I would highly recommend visiting Oradour-sur-Glane if you are in the area. Entry to the Village was free last time village went I doubt it has changed.

It is worth arriving in the Morning in the summer as it can get quite bizzy and parking is limited.
