Corvin Castle also called Hunyadi castle is one of the largest castles in Europe it is in Transylvania in Romania. It was built in the 15th century on a former Roman camp.

I have seen a lot of castles thought-out Europe and Corvin Castle is well worth the visit. When I last went it was not overcrowded with tourists. This may or may not change.

The castle did not have any gift shops just locals selling items in and around the Castle. At the time parking was free. I had to pay slightly more for a pass to be able to use my camera 📷 it was very little.
The towers had a good view of the surrounding area.

The best way to visit is by car but, it would be possible to visit by public transport.
Joan Corvinus was the son of Matthias Corvinus King of Hungary. He was a illegitimate child born in Buda 2nd April 1473 and died on the 12th of October 1504 aged just 31.
