I decided to look into alternative heating since the cost of electricity has become more expensive. 

I brought a cheap table top fireplace that produces about 0.7 kw of heat. I was sceptical at first. But, have since brought a wall mounted one for €54.99.

The fireplace uses about 200ml an hour and at the moment I am paying €2.40 a litre. So for €2.40 I can run my fireplace for 5 hours. It does cost more than electricity at the moment. But, it is possible to produce bioethenol at home. That is something I may look into.
