1988 Mercedes 307 D Camper Van Day 1

I met a fellow sailor who was selling his old Mercedes 307 Camper Van. He had owned it for 20 years and driven all over Europe. He said "do you want to buy it". I said "no but, I am tempted" he said "£500"

So i told him that I would have to think about it. I started searching online and could see the Mercedes 307 D was very rare. I thought I might as well.

I was planing on driving the van to Morocco to make sone easy cash. Then covid 19 hit and my plans were put on hold.

I finally got round to taking the ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe. I normally drive 15 + plus. But, as it is an old van I decided to take it easy. I slept in the van last night for a few hours. I am now about 2 hours ftom Bordeaux and have stopped for the night in a nice área. Its amazing being able to stop and Cook, sleep, relax.
