Everything Is A Process

Everything in life is a process. We did not get to the point where we are without this process. If we are unsuccessful right now there was a process that took place. If we are semi-successful in our life it was a process that took place. If we are considered or consider ourselves super successful there still was a process that took place. We do not get from point A to point B without a process taking place which reveals the end result (Success or Failure).

The wonderful thing about this process is at any point during this journey the process or processes can change. Most of us think becoming successful is a huge leap forward. The reason we think this way is because we look at where we are now and we look at what we perceive as successful, not in a linear fashion, but as some quantum leap.

We look at the beginning of the journey and we look at the end but leave out the middle. It is the middle of the journey that is most important. The reason I say the middle of the journey is most important is because in the beginning of the journey is the quitting phase. At the end of the journey is the success phase. The middle of the journey is the true work phase of the process.

Let's talk about the quitting phase or the beginning of the journey. When people make a decision to do something they are extremely fired up about the decision. People start the work, they are excited, energized, and raring to go. And then the work begins. When people figure out it's going to take a great deal of work to become successful they question whether it's worth it, if they're worth it.

At this milestone the notion to quit or create excuses becomes easier than moving forward toward the goal. During this quitting phase is when the negative brainwashing carries an extreme amount of weight. This is where most people decide to quit or to stop their journey.

On the other hand the success phase is realized because we have the things we want. The success phase exists because we can do the things we want to do in life. If you are in the success phase of your journey you are living in the moment. During this success phase you can barely realize what the middle of the journey was although you will remember the beginning.

You will remember at the beginning of the journey you were poor, you did not know where your next meal was coming from, you remember your car was insufficient, you remember your clothes were worn, your bank account was small etc. Because everyone goes through different phases on the journey to success, we remember in phases. Some parts we leave out on purpose and for whatever reason other parts mean much more to us. The length of time that we spend on our journey to success will determine how much each phase of the journey we remember and how we remember each event.

Successful people who are living in the moment of success usually have to sit down and recap the processes which took them through the middle of the journey. The reason the middle of the journey less important while in the success phase is because this phase is in the past. There is very little need to think about the past when you're in the success phase of your journey, because you are having so much fun in the success phase...
