Have you ever done something just for the sake of being able to honestly say that you have done it?
Spring Break with a llama
Many years ago as a high school student with limited funds I found my options for spring break to be limited. Living in Michigan, most kids head down to Florida or some warmer climate to escape the cold march weather but for us fiscally challenged folk that wasn't really a viable option. My friends and I decided to rent a cabin in middle of nowhere Michigan that also doubled as a working farm. There were sheep, chickens, and yes, a llama.
Waking up and stumbling out of the cabin after a long night of drinking I came face to face with said llama. Now I grew up in the city and have absolutely no prior experience dealing with llamas or any other farm animals really. All I knew was that there was snow on the ground and a chance for me to seize my moment. The sole motivation behind the decision to soft toss a snowball at my new found furry friend was just to be able to honestly say that I did indeed hit a llama with a snowball. I proudly put myself in the what I would imagine is less than 1% of people who have bested a llama with a ball of snow.
So that is my brief tale told in full, I want to hear from everyone else- What is something you have done just for the simple reason of being able to say that you have done it? My feat doesn't quite rank up there with sky diving or 2 chicks at the same time, but a man has to start somewhere. What have you done that the majority of people have not? Looking forward to the comments.
