What you are about to read are simply based on my own observation and personal experiences as I am someone who has spend a considerable amount of time indulging in Korean dramas. Before I start recommending, I feel that it is important to let you guys know what I focus on when I watch (I do not watch only to finish.)
Korean Dramas (also known as K-dramas) are basically Korean television series that can be watched on different streaming platforms such at Netflix and Viu.
This begs the question: so what now? I know that it depends on the person what they find attractive or not. However, I will point out a few things to consider if you’d like to give K-dramas a try.
Storyline
K-dramas are typically 16-episodes long with a duration of at least one hour per episode. It may sound long but don’t let that idea hinder you from watching. Because of this feature, viewers can focus more on the details the story provides. Like all other shows, Kdramas offer you a unique story every time. As most series are set in South Korea, you can get a gist of their culture and what they offer.
Castings
I have to admit, there are a LOT of talented actors and actresses in South Korea. And as an addition to their talent, they are all incredibly stunning! What I like about watching Kdramas is that they are open to different actors playing lead roles which makes the viewers curious on how the role will be portrayed.
Cinematography

It has been a while since Kdramas stepped up on different level when it comes to their cinematography. Viewers worldwide are hooked because these kdramas give out visuals by weighing the scenery with matching tones and different camera angles. Honestly, I sometimes forget that I'm watching only an episode instead of a movie!
There are a lot more reasons on why you should watch Kdramas. I am aware that some are hesitant to watch because there are subtitles in Kdramas but here's what I'll tell you: you'll never know what you're missing out on. These shows will not be receiving the great amount of attention they have right now if they weren't any better.
In my next posts, I will start recommending Kdramas which fit different genres. Hopefully, you guys become interested in the long run. Let me know in the comments!
