Why it’s not “too late” to start investing – and how time becomes your ally #14

By luciman | MindVest | 31 Jul 2025

Have you ever looked back and said,
“If only I had started investing five years ago…”?

I understand. Many people feel the same. But let me share a truth that changes everything:

The best time to start was yesterday.
The second-best time is today.

Time isn’t lost – It’s available

The truth is, most people don’t start because they feel they’ve missed the boat.
But investing isn’t a 100-metre sprint. It’s a marathon.

Whether you’re 25, 35, or 45 years old, you have time to build.
Not to become a millionaire overnight, but to give yourself freedom, security, and the power of choice.

The snowball effect still works

Maybe you don’t have hundreds of euros to invest each month. Maybe you can start with just one euro. That’s fine.
What matters isn’t the amount. It’s consistency.
It’s like exercise: if you do a little bit every week, your body changes.

Your portfolio works the same way.

What you can do today (Without being an expert)

  • Choose a user-friendly platform and spend at least 30 minutes learning

  • Set aside your first contribution, no matter how small

  • Create a habit: set up a monthly automatic transfer

  • Track your progress every three months, not every three days

You don’t need perfect timing.
You just need a sincere and disciplined starting point.

It’s a journey, not a destination

The MindVest blog isn’t here just to tell you “what to buy.”
It’s here to help you become the kind of person who thinks like an investor, lives with clarity, and makes long-term decisions.

That’s why it doesn’t matter how much you have in your account today.
What matters is the direction you’re heading in.

And if you’ve read this far…
Congratulations, you’re already on your way.
