Shortly after I had the experience I talk about in my first article Paradigm Shift , I searched the internet for any information that would make sense of What I had experienced. I was looking for some sort of library that was guarded that existed, I guessed, somewhere on the astral plane. It hardly took any time to find countless articles and several firsthand accounts from people everywhere talking about having similar experiences in dreams, meditation, and other altered states of consciousness. This place had a name I kept seeing over and over again. What I had accidentally stumbled across was a timeless place known to many as: ”The Akashic Records”

I have always considered myself a very rational person, I know that there is a clear dividing line between what it fantasy and what is reality. I decided that I would ask the highest authority I could about The Akashic Records directly. I tapped my Google Assistant on my phone and asked: “Hey Google, What are the Akashic Records?”

                              Google Said:

“In theosophy and anthroposophy, the Akashic records are a compendium of all human events, thoughts, words, emotions, and intent ever to have occurred in the past, present, or future. They are believed by theosophists to be encoded in a non-physical plane of existence known as the etheric plane. “

I was absolutely intrigued by what I had discovered. Google did not say this was some sort of fictional or imagined place, rather I was directed to two branches of study, Theosophy and Anthroposophy that I would later learn are branches of the larger study known as Metaphysics. I began doing more research into esoteric topics from Yoga to the Paranormal, Psychics, Mystics, Seers and everywhere in between. I was only just beginning to suspend the belief systems that I had grown up with being raised in a Christian home. I found that some of the most grounded and documented cases of people experiencing supernormal abilities came from those who were either born with a natural gift or who spent years studying with a spiritual teacher or Yogi.

Now this is where my journey gets interesting... the same night I found out that it was possible to develop the ability to enter into this fantastical world, I sent out a powerful intention to the universe. That intention was “When The Student Is Ready, The Teacher Will Appear“ Little did I know I was calling upon one of the Universal Laws of creation, which is The Law of Attraction. (Remember “The Secret” books?)

I sent out my heartfelt desire and then I unknowingly did one of the most important steps to manifesting any desire. I completely forgot that I had sent out that desire. I just let it go. I went about my normal work and daily life for a few weeks. At the time I was exploring many events with a close friend and roommate of mine. We often went out to restaurants, attended local events in the LGBT community, went to yoga classes, and attended the monthly full moon fire jam which is a local event consisting of a drum circle and performers who dance and manipulate fire. I was searching for our next outing and I saw an event called the Mastery of Consciousness Course. So I decided to check it out with my friend and I registered for the class. I never thought that the decision to attend that one class would change my life for the better forever.      

I found a place I didn’t think existed

My Teacher sits in a tall chair, she has long brown hair and a sing-song voice. Curiously, she seems to positively radiate light and love from her eyes.

The School of Metaphysics

That first night of class I really had no idea what to expect. I thought maybe there would be some yoga involved, meditation, we and that I might get some sort of answers to all the questions I had. When I found the school, which was a converted 3 story house, there was a large hand made sign on the front door welcoming new students. When I entered I was greeted by the director Emily. Everyone in the school seemed to be very happy and full of love, I was immediately given a hug by all the staff and it was something I totally didn’t expect, to be hugged by strangers. I started the class and took a basic questionnaire that outlined my interests and what I wanted to learned. To be honest, I was still extremely skeptical about the whole school. My teacher walked us through the basics of what the school teaches and played a welcome recording that I almost slept through. I was almost falling asleep it seemed until Emily, my teacher mentioned one key phrase that got my attention. She said that the intuitive reports that the school gave out came from The Akashic Records. Instantly I was in a state of wonder. I felt that something bigger than myself was going on. My emotions were telling me that I was in the right place. I decided that I would enroll that night. I was endlessly curious about how all of this new hidden stuff operated and I began that night with the first book given Which is about remembering and interpreting Dreams.
