What is Metaphysics?
Metaphysics is a branch of thought that when first described was a branch of philosophy. However, the roots of Metaphysics go much further than their modern description. Put Simply, Metaphysics is the study of the governing laws that make up our reality. Here it's important to differ metaphysical laws from physical ones such as the field of physics, applied sciences, or mathematics. Metaphysics differs because it's main focus is on how consciousness operates in the physical one and most importantly, beyond the physical. Meta means above or super-seeding and physics are the rules we use to typically describe how physical phenomenon work.
A good example of how to look at Metaphysics is to think of a woven carpet. On one side you can observe a well ordered pattern that makes total sense and is easy to describe. However, on the back side of this weaving there appears to be chaos and a disorganized mess of patterns that seem to have no meaning, yet this unseen chaos is where the carpet keeps all of its intricacies. The organized side needs all of the internal parts arranged just so to create it marvelous pattern.
Metaphysics is learning that requires both the participation in spiritual exercises and the complete assimilation of experience. It is enrolling in the school of the future of humanity which is a union of the whole mind. What is being taught in these lessons is not what to think but how to become thinkers and reasoners. We learn through being participants in the world. We exist in the physical world but it is not our source. We come into this world for the purpose of spiritual evolution. The path towards our transformation is contained inside ourselves in our minds and hearts.
We each contain a divine spark or I AM. The plan of creation is written in the Superconscious part of mind, There is a oneness we are all part of in the union of mind, body and spirit. We chose our incarnation on Earth to develop a more complete knowing of Self in relation to all creation. The Universal Language of Mind is based in truth. In order to understand the truth of ourselves we must become disciplined and committed in our approach to recall our native language and reclaim our freedom.
