Moments ago, I thought of an orange. So immediately thereafter that I could not determine - nearly (but I could) - which thought had occurred first, I thought I should eat a pear.
I have some pears and an orange on my counter. Although they may look as though someone had stepped on them, they’re quite delicious. So much so that I didn’t have to think about them to know I wanted one. Instead, I only needed to have been open to the impression of reminding myself to eat it, because it was in that place where that other thing was that time. It’s pedantic, but stay with me. I would have remembered that closely enough to impress upon myself that I was hungry. I’m hungry.
Anyway, imagine - just imagine - being so specifically and hilariously, obtusely dense that you had to throw yourself - your very self(!) - a Hail Mary game of telephone through generations of beings just to elicit the consideration of a basic, multi-formable ability.
