The premier League a British football league has recently changed the handball rule. Many people are upset by this new rule and some are happy it is being implemented.
The new rule is that players will be penalised when the hand or arm is away from the body and outside the body line, when the player leans into the path of the ball and after touching the ball with the arm (even if it's a accident) scoring a goal or creating a goal scoring opportunity.
This will probably slow down the game a lot more and end up relying on VAR to check possible arm contact with the ball. But we will see what the game is like and if it affects any pacing issues.
