Living out of my car came to a sudden end.
One dark and stormy night...
... I wrecked my car. Taking a turn I totaled the only thing I owned that I could live in. I was not for real homeless. I continued on and ended up in jail for this wreck. For a month I sat in jail. I could not decide if I wanted to leave. I knew I could easily get into a fight and gain more time. All I did was play chess, talk about humanity and draw while I was there. My name became The Wizard for a variety of reasons.
First was that of my hair. It had not been cut in almost 2 years at this point. Another had to do with my card playing ability. I did not know the games, yet after the first hand or so I would come back and win. The games came so easy to me. I never played for anything other than breakfast. I did not want to over do anything. I additionally found a plug for coffee and extra paper for my now drawing business.
I was drawing tattoos for cell and other inmates as they came and went. I also made mask money for the inmates to use and spread around. Very decentralized of me I know. Printing my own money to be circulated where I may never see them again. I kept a hand full of the papers to one day show along with this story. This I may do at the end of my story as some sort of readers reward for sticking around. Always free of course.
Anyway.
After my release from jail I walked about 7 hours to get back to town. Thank all the gods that I had $27.34 left on my commissary account to get cigarettes on the walk back. I made it back to the homeless shelter. From here I started back with trying to find a job.
Before I even needed to a vigilante of a friend reached out.
She had a room in her basement and wanted to know what was up after not hearing from me for so long. I moved up from homeless to basement dweller. Just like that.
During my time at the shelter I met amazing people. From ex biker gang members, rich kids kicked out of their homes, and even people who had ran across the whole united states just to get away from a hit for sleeping with a cartel members girl. It was a mind blowing experience and humbling to be their friends.
We are now at today. That is right. Today, the date at the top of this blog post.
From hence forth you will be reading my future. What I plan to do with this blog as well as my crypto and nft obsession.
This story has only just begun.
