Upland has just announced a partnership with The Sandbox Metaverse. This is a great web 3 partnership that makes a lot of sense in that The Sandbox is a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, and Upland is part of the Animoca Brands portfolio company. Both are founding members of the Open Metaverse Alliance for Web3 (OMA3). Moreover, OMA3's founding chairperson is Dirk Lueth, who is one of Upland's co-founder.

The vision of the OMA3 is to enable players to travel between different metaverses freely while also transporting their assets between different worlds and different blockchains. With Upland's existing bridge to Ethereum which enables players to connect their Metamask wallets to their Upland account, Upland is pushing the boundaries when it comes to blockchain interoperability. This partnership is further strengthening this technological endevour.

As part of the partnership, Upland will open a headquarters in The Sandbox, and The Sandbox will be given a neighborhood in an Upland city where they will be able to distribute land to owners of land in The Sandbox.
