Elizabeth Warren’s Crypto Comments – Just Another Establishment Play

It is no secret that Elizabeth Warren has done well for herself and enjoyed some of the perks of her office. The difficult portion of her character is where she frames something "good for the people" to push an establishment agenda. This theme has arisen time and time again with her platform.

One obvious example came from a town hall session on her presential campaign. Warren received criticism over her proposed policy to stop the privatization of K-12 schools and force funding back into public education. A mother in the meeting pointed out that she would like to have the option to send her kids to a private school like Warren did and why should this generation have fewer opportunities than those of her children. In a practiced response, Warren indicated that her children went to public school. The easily found reality is that Warren's son attended public school until 5th grade and was moved to a 15K a year private school for the remainder.

Another comes from her tackling race issues amongst women. She claims to be a freedom fighter for women of color and a champion of their cause. What is not mentioned during these claims is how she used a narrative of a discriminated against Native American woman to help further her career. A claim that was later debunked through a DNA test.

Now we get to her statements on CryptoCurrency. Warren claims that nothing productive comes from cryptocurrencies and that an easy win on climate change would be to simply clamp down on its use. What is not mentioned in these claims is that Senator Warren is a member of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs. The Senate Committee currently in control of regulatory affairs in our current financial hierarchy.

So, if this so-called nonproductive digital ecosystem that empowers anyone in the world with instant financial services comes to power, who has the most to lose.

Perhaps, the bureaucracy that holds the keys to the existing financial powers and the recipients of political donations of such institutions.
