The film I chose to talk about was Digimon: The Movie, because firstly I like anime and secondly it marked my childhood. Some interesting points of the film: The art for the time of 2000 was incredible, in addition to combining several moments of tension with many funny moments, which brought an edge to the subject that was heavy but with a certain lightness. Below I will comment on some moments that most marked this film for me.

DigiDestined - Greymon Vs Parrotmon

The first part of the film tells the true emergence of the digidestined. The children who witnessed the fight between Greymon and Parrotmon were chosen. About this fight, it was simply epic. The two digimons were of colossal dimensions, which is not very evident in the anime, which gave an idea of how destructive they can be.

In this fight, the most memorable scene is when Parrotmon knocks out Greymon with a special attack. Then Tai's younger sister, Kari, tries to wake up the digimon with the whistle she had, she tried with all her strength, but she had no more breath to blow. Then, his brother took the whistle and blew with all his might, which made Greymon get up and defeat Parrotmon.

Diaboromon and the Missiles

The second part of the film was the one that impressed me the most. This part's villain is Diabormon, an evil Digimon that creates a virus that spreads across the internet and infects everything from stores to the transportation system to the United States' defense system. This digimon consumed all the data which caused the system to behave unusually.

When he arrives in the American system, he sends a missile to Japan, which is the country where the digidestined are. To avoid the worst case scenario, Tai ends up going online and meets Agumon. They come together to defeat the digimon, which was initially at a weak level, but as the fight continued it continued to evolve and was not defeated. This was very frustrating when I was younger, imagine an enemy that is not defeated and has a missile about to fall at any moment? But that's exactly what brings originality.

So, with the enemy evolving more and more, the agumon also needed to evolve into Greymon and later Wargreymon. However, even with the help of Izzy's evolved Tentomon, they were unable to defeat it and the digimon ended up running away.

Later, they encountered the evil Digimon in its maximum evolution, Diaboromon. At that moment, there was a counter that marked the time available for the missile to be destroyed in the air. In this fight there was Tai and Matt, together their Digimon reached maximum form, combining into Omegamon. This digimon is one of the strongest in the entire anime, but the problem is that Diaboromon multiplied exponentially every second and time was running out.

After defeating most of the copies, only one remained. The problem was that it was very fast and if they couldn't hit it, the missile would hit the ground. Then the whole world had access to the fight between Omegamon and Diaboromon. All the people watching the fight and the two children doing their best felt the need to give their support.

Everyone who was watching the fight started sending emails to Izzy, there were hundreds of emails. These emails began to reduce Diaboromon's speed until it finally stopped and at the same time increased Omegamon's power. Then, the timer only had 3 seconds, so they went with everything at maximum speed and cut the digimon and the timer behind him with 1 second remaining. INCREDIBLE! Remembering that this film is from 2000 and the animation was incredible.

Criticism - Part 3

Part 3 has the new generation of digidestined as protagonists, but it didn't make much sense to include it because the film focused mainly on generation 1. Story 3 of the film was very quick and didn't make much sense overall. That's why I didn't find this part of the film interesting, it was very confusing.

Surgimento dos Digiescolhidos - Greymon Vs Parrotmon

A primeira parte do filme conta o verdadeiro surgimento dos digiescolhidos. As crianças que presenciaram a luta entre Greymon e Parrotmon foram escolhidas. Sobre essa luta, ela foi simplesmente épica. Os dois digimons estavam em dimensões colossais, o que no anime não fica muito evidente, o que dava uma noção do quão destrutivos eles podem ser.

Nessa luta, a cena mais marcante é quando o Parrotmon nocauteia o Greymon com um ataque especial. Nisso a irmã mais nova do Tai, a Kari, tenta acordar o digimon com o apito que tinha, ela tentou com todas as forças, mas não tinha mais fôlego assoprar. Então, seu irmão pegou o apito e soprou com todas as forças, o que fez o Greymon levantar com tudo e derrotar o Parrotmon.

Diaboromon e os Misseis

A segunda parte do filme foi a que mais me marcou. Essa parte tem como vilão o diabormon, um digimon maligno que cria um vírus que se expalha pela internet e vai infectando desde lojas, sistema de transporte chegando no sistema de defesa dos Estados Unidos. Esse digimon consumia todos os dados o que fazia os sistema terem comportamentos incomuns.

Quando ele chega no sistema americano, ele manda um míssil para o Japão, que é o país que os digiescolhidos estão. Nisso, para evitar o pior cenário Tai acaba entrando na "internet" e se encontra com Agumon. Eles se juntam para derrotar o digimon, que inicialmente estava em um nível fraco, mas conforme a luta continuava ele continua evoluindo e não era derrotado. Isso foi muito frustrante quando eu era menor, imagina um inimigo que não é derrotado e tem um míssil para cair a qualquer momento? Mas é exatamente isso que traz a originalidade.

Assim, com o inimigo evoluindo cada vez mais, o agumon também precisou evoluir para Greymon e posteriormente Wargreymon. Entretanto, mesmo com a ajuda do Tentomon de Izzy evoluido não conseguiram derrotá-lo e o digimon acabou fugindo.

Posteriomente, eles encontraram o digimon maligno na sua evolução máxima, Diaboromon. Nesse momento, tinha um contador que marcava o tempo disponível para que fosse ativada a destruição do míssil no ar. Nessa luta estava Tai e Matt, juntos seus digimons atingiram a forma máxima, combinando no Omegamon. Esse digimon é um dos mais fortes do anime todo, mas o problema é que o Diaboromon se multiplicava a cada segundo de forma exponencial e o tempo estava acabando.

Depois de derrotar grande parte das copias, restava apenas um. O problema é que ele era muito rápido e se não conseguissem acertá-lo, o míssil atingiria o solo. Nisso o mundo inteiro teve acesso a luta entre Omegamon e Diaboromon. Todas as pessoas vendo a luta e as duas crianças dando o seu máximo sentiram a necessidade de dar seu opoio.

Todos que estavam assistindo a luta começaram a mandar email para o Izzy, foram centenas de emails. Esses emails começaram a reduzir a velocidade do Diaboromon até fazer ele finalmente travar e ao mesmo tempo aumentava o poder do omegamon. Nisso, no timer tinha apenas 3 segundos, então eles foram com tudo na velocidade máxima e cortaram o digimon e o timer atrás dele faltando 1 segundo. INCRÍVEL! Lembrando que esse filme é de 2000 e a animação foi incrível.

Crítica - Part 3

A part 3 tem como protagonistas a nova geração de digiescolhidos, mas não fez muito sentido colocar ela porque o filme focou principalmente na geração 1. A história 3 do filme foi muito rápida e não fez muito sentido no geral. Por isso, não achei interessante essa parte do filme, foi muito confusa.
