Hey guys, Trader Davey here, coming in to talk about the free roll crypto faucets. Are they worthwhile?
First off, if you don't know of their existence, there are a bunch of free crypto sites where you can roll every hour, and based on the roll you will get x amount of free crypto. I've compiled a list below of some standard ones, and worked out the maths so you don't have to.
There is also a list of links to each site at the bottom of this article containing my referral link, I would greatly appreciate it if you signed up with my referral code if you do plan to sign up to these sites.
Most of the ones below have the same payment chance. It's a roll from 1 to 10000 every hour with the following rewards:
Pretty small pay out 98.85% of the time. So what's the average pay out? Assuming the game's odds are exactly as stated, that's pretty easy to work out with this formula:
Which comes to ~0.03803655, so roughly $0.038 per roll. That's not actually that bad. Especially considering there are 18 of these sites with the same odds and mechanics, so over $0.68 USD every hour for doing a couple rolls (when averaged out of course).
The BTC is actually slightly more than the other 17, almost $0.039 per roll, but for the sake of ease we will assume it is the same as the rest.
On top of that, they release a promo code every day on their twitter for an extra roll, so $1.36 USD for your first hour. Do the 2 rolls the first hour with the promo code, and get back to it another 5 times over the day, that's $4.79 USD per day (again, when averaged out of course).
The caveat is that the withdrawal minimum changes for each coin. NEM for example (XEM), the minimum withdrawal is 10 NEM. At the current price of $0.0402 per XEM, the minimum withdrawal is about 40.2c USD, whereas with LINK's current price of $6.48 and a minimum withdrawal of 0.3 LINK, the minimum withdrawal is around $1.94 USD.
