How much should we listen to others?

How much should we listen to others?

By Smajk | Making a new life in Nature | 31 Jul 2021

At some point in time everybody finds themselves experiencing something new. Something they know little about... For example, I'm just about to start building a family house for my wife and me. Naturally when facing something you never done before, you do some research, talk to people... It's amazing how much mistakes (costly ones too!) I prevented by just talking to people and learning from there experiences...

On the other side, some people can get really pushy with there own experiences like no one can have it differently. I've seen older and much wiser men say they made a mistake listening to a friend or a relative and doing something "there" way because it was cheaper, or easier, or better... Which on the end point it really wasn't.

There is a fine line between good and bad advice, people can push you with the best intension in a bad decision. If you let that happen it is only for you to blame... You are the ultimate decision maker and you should try to be wise enough to set the boundaries, and try to do the best you can in the way that you think it should be done!
