By bitbollo | M1scellaneous | 22 Aug 2020

Have you ever dreamed to run your personal store that was able to provide earnings with minimum efforts?

If the answer is YES, you should read my post since here I will give some hints taking from my experience as seller (more than 15+ years/3500 euro earned per year!*).
Following my suggestions you can maximize your effort and capitalize every second spent on creating your PERFECT EBAY STORE!
This is not my cash ;) I use only bitcoins
Disclaimer: these suggestions are not intended for a “Professional store", but are created just for people like you: with not much experience, ready for launch a new eBay shop.
(*I made around 3500 euro per year - more or less. Please note however this is the legal limit in my country that I am allowed to receive from a shop or while selling stuffs without open an official store or paying taxes).

PART 1 - HOW TO START - What can I sold?
I don’t want focus this post in a specific niche or a specific product to be sold.
Long story short, buy object that you can resell with a good profit. Not sold Fake items or semi-legal.
I want recommend to make your search and to find something that fit with your experience or expertise.
Generally speaking my advice is very simple: buy stuff in local second hands market.
Try to buy items in large quantities/likewise lots or full collections and then sell as a “single unit”.
This will maximize your profit.

PART 2 - GIVE A BOOST TO YOUR STORE
Ok you have your account and now you want to start.
Remember most of times in eBay you will get around 150 listing free each month!
This means that after you create a listing, it will work “automatically" thanks to auto listing.

- What is the first rule that you must adopt for your shop?
You MUST focus all of your attention and energies to satisfy your clients.
You must appear as professional as you can, trying to differentiate from other sellers that can offer the same service or selling a similar product. Most of non-professional sellers can compete just for few months. Later they will step away due lack of earnings or negative feedbacks.

- Why you should run a "professional businnes"?
Appear professional can increase the number of item sold. It can increase the revenue since you can get an high amount of money for each object that you sold. It allow more people to find your store. It allow to grow your business.

- How achieve this target?
There are several steps to be followed. And this list isn’t just a limitations but use it as a point for your start.

PART 3 - HOW TO RUN EFFECTIVE OPERATIONS!

We can split operations in 2 big parts:
Before the listing - Listing [BTL] |&| Selling - Post Selling [PS]

BTL

  • Try to find and adapt your selling strategy (likewise promotion/type of product etc);
  • Sell stuff with an high revenue around MAXIMUM selling price  (but requiring more time) or trying to sell in a competitive range or try to  sell for just a slightly revenue (but receiving immediately payment allow you to buy more item or to invest immediately these gaining);
    It’s ok even a mix of this strategy. It allow you to personalize your financial earnings;
  • The best way for your strategy is making a research of what are you selling! Don’t focusing only in listing but focus definitely in “THE REAL PRICE” so take a look of sold items;
  • Describe object in full, if they have a damage it’s always better indicate it. (Obviously is always better sell stuff in a perfect condition);
  • Save time for your listing = Use a template (time can always provide an advantage since it can allow to better develop another part of your business) for selling an items. Use the same structure with all of your listing. You will not forget any information, you will create easily a new listing and you can move in other shop, since you can convert in html code!;

PS

  • Describe your product honestly. Not hide anything, it's always better not SELLING it;
  • Add always some links that connect your listing (likewise promote an item while you're selling another one!)
  • As seen before Use a template for any message you should sent to buyers. I like using templates. Its a way to maximize your work at the best ratio. And in any chance you will provide the best efficient and polite reply to any of your user (here a short list just as example):
    - Selling message (payment information)
    - Thank you for the payment (for buyer that are requiring more information)
    - Shipment message (how to track shipment)
    - Payment follow up (standard message if someone is not paying)
  • Provide each time the best shipment and package solution (never be cheap, likewise if you receive a gift in a bad box isn’t the same!) or a potential damaged package can just give you a bad image and a negative feedback;

  • Deliver the possibile experience to your clients, always reply to your buyer. If some one ask a question be politely and reply as fast as you can;
