2022 Halloween Event Primer!!! UPDATED (Oct 5)

Hey Hunters!

Lots of stuff happened lately which I will likely cover in another blog post. In this edition, I just want to talk about the upcoming event, Halloween! This event is one of my favorites. I just love the colors, the Halloween Trivia category, and the cauldrons!!! The cauldron mechanic is lots of fun as you have to find them to get access to special resources. And who can forget the drama of having to sacrifice your beloved cats to get the coveted Black Cat Cubie BP. You can check out on the wiki how the previous year's event worked. Today, Illusionweaver was generous with Discorders (is that a thing?), spilling beans about the event. Below is a Coles Notes of what he shared and also includes other beans that were shared during the last few weeks. Also, a new article was published spilling beans for the coming few weeks including more Halloween Event details (read it here: https://medium.com/coin-hunt-world/sneak-peek-coming-soon-to-coin-hunt-world-cd3440055e25). Beware that some of these may change as they are still working on the event.

Halloween event will start on October 25 at 00:00 UTC and ending Oct 31 at 23:59 UTC
3 returning cubies (Pumpkin, Mummy and Monster). Witch and Black Cat will not return as they are epics.

4 new cubies (1 new common and 3 Epics). You can see a Zombie Cubie in the article's banner. No clue if he is Epic or Common.

There will be cauldrons with a similar mechanic as last year.

Cauldrons will last different lengths of times depending on which tier they are.
You will need a Halloween Cubie to spawn and to interact with cauldrons.
You will need to walk to spawn a cauldron. Driving hunting will not work.
There will be a new recipe for the epic cauldron.
There will be a quest chain that will give big chunks of new epic resources.
The quest will likely give you the option to use a Cubie from last year to advance in the quest chains like during the Chinese New Year event.
Toads and bat wings will not return but will drop in the tickler, event boxes and Trade Shacks
Illusionweaver has hinted that higher tier vaults will give better resource drops. Each tier vault will give out its own event reward.
No word on Red and Purple vaults.
There will be an Halloween Costume Contest

As you can see, there are a lot of features coming back with little tweaks and some new exciting one.

Halloween Event preparation tips:

Be sure to have at least one previous Halloween Cubie to enable cauldron spawning from the onset of the event.
Have one each of Pumpkin, Mummy and Monster Cubies. We do not know which one will be helpful to advance quicker in the quest chain.
Higher Tier Cubies will spawn higher tier cauldrons
You will require green, yellow and red keys for these instances:
- to open green and yellow vaults to have access to better resource drops.
- to access cauldrons. Common cauldrons will need blue keys, rare cauldrons greens and epic cauldrons yellows.
- to advance on the quest chain (1bk, 1gk, 1yk and 1rk).
Do research on Halloween. There will be a Halloween Trivia category. Unfortunately, there is no Halloween trivia database available at this time.
Get more players to play in your area. Their uservaults will give you more opportunities to spawn cauldrons. Halloween is a great event to start playing.
Plan your hunting grounds. Use coinhuntmap.com to find out the best hunting areas where you can walk.
Hunt in groups to take advantage of the cauldrons you and your hunting partners spawn.
Hunt through the day not all at once. Cauldrons having a timer, will allow you to spawn cauldrons many times per day.
Join a local discord to share cauldron locations with your fellow hunters.
