Philippians 2:6-8

He always had the nature of God,
but he did not think that by force he should try to remain equal with God.
Instead of this, of his own free will he gave up all he had,
and took the nature of a servant.
He became like a human being
and appeared in human likeness.
He was humble and walked the path of obedience all the way to death—
his death on the cross.

Many of us think that Jesus has nothing in common with us. He's up in Heaven looking down from His lofty throne and we are down here in the mud and the muck. Many of us think "my prayers are so petty that God can't possibly care about my concerns".

This is simply not the case; Jesus came and lived with us. He knows what it's like to be hungry, thirsty, tired, sad, and lonely. He knows that small things can be a big deal. He relates with your cares and worries and says "I totally get it; I have felt that way too".

God gets it and He proved it when He strapped on His human-suit and became a middle-eastern peasant. He came down to our level so He could pull us up to His. He lived a difficult life and had a tragic death just so we could know how much He loves us. He cares, He relates to you and He takes your prayers seriously.
